Sadness gets a bad rap in our society.
Crying makes you ‘weak’, ‘real men’ don’t show emotions, being fearful makes you ‘cowardly’. That’s all horse shit. Chronic depression aside, bouts of sadness are totally normal and quite healthy. When sadness leads to tears, it’s even MORE beneficial as it means you’re processing your emotions and releasing things that are unnecessary moving forward.

It looks like those granola-loving hippies were right! Tree Hugging has real emotional and physical benefits - and you don’t have to be in the middle of a forest to seek them out!
