Intro. to Mindfulness

During the 'Intro. to Mindfulness' session, clients will learn about the physical, emotional and mental benefits of mindfulness; including ways to manage stress, anxiety and depression through simple forms of meditation, breath work, visualizations and mental organization; as well as techniques to regain balance + harmony.

Let's Balance That 'Big Brain Energy'!

Experience the awesome power of your Mind, Body and Breath with a session designed to balance your brain hemispheres and activate your parasympathetic system; engaging your body’s relaxation response. Yes, your body does have a relaxation response and yes, you have access to it!

After a quick overview of the benefits of Mindfulness, we will start off our experience with:

Breath Work - We will work through fun and relaxing breathing techniques, creating a tool box for you to have access to, depending on what you need at any moment. Distracted? Anxious? Stressed? There’s a breath for that!

Brain Work - Next we’ll use movement with our bodies to bridge the right and left hemispheres of the brain; allowing electrical impulses and information to pass freely between the two; which benefits us both mentally and physically. We’ll also discover easy ways to engage the Vagus Nerve and activate Proprioceptors to immediately calm the body’s nervous system.

Body Work - Finally the ‘dessert’ of the experience where you lie back and enjoy the warm and healing vibration of tuning forks; which reduces tension, produces nitric oxide for better blood flow and promotes emotional harmony through brain waves; allowing you to feel calm, grounded, more focused and lighter in your step!

Mindfulness for Students

Mindfulness is a perfect tool to teach students of all ages to bring their focus back to the present moment. It also helps in developing students' inner skills by creating different relationships to experiences that are stressful. It improves their ability to control attention levels (by strengthening their ability to self-observe) and to train attention. In other words, it teaches them to ‘pay attention to paying attention’, and can also make them more aware of their emotional state.

Mindfulness for Parents

Kids are capable of setting off a wide range of emotions in parents. In those moments, our reactions to them may be inappropriate to the present and are instead, based on the past. By being more mindful, we can pause before reacting, taking time to calm ourselves down. We can remind ourselves to breathe for a minute, become more aware of the present moment and choose to respond in a manner consistent with how we want to treat our child.
