One of my most favorite Tribal Tendencies is that of empathy. The ability to actually feel what another human is feeling. It allows us to feel connection and depth to others where some might feel nothing.
It's a beautiful gift that also holds its own burden. When you can't turn it off and you become overwhelmed by the emotions of others, not even able to tell the difference between what you're feeling and what emotions are bouncing around the room/country/world from the collective, it can bring you to your knees.
I know my Tribe like I know myself, and I know that there are a lot of us right now that are on our knees; regardless of political views, moral standards, personal feelings, etc. due to the energetic chaos enveloping our country. As natural humanitarians, I know that for a majority of you seeing people hurting in whatever form, can affect you tirelessly.
As an empath, when I'm overwhelmed by the emotions of the collective, my only escape is to shut down and become numb. It's an awful feeling to turn yourself off to your loved one's, neighbors, friends and humanity but sometimes it's that, or you lose your sanity.
I want you to give yourself permission to take a break from the chaos, if you need it. Shut down and re-charge. Find your balance again. Gain your center so you can be the best you for you, and then those around you will reap the benefits when you emerge.
If you aren't ready to recharge - use the turmoil as a springboard to counter-balance the chaotic collective.
I'm choosing to stay vulnerable, highly empathic and emotionally wrecked as a tool to remain motivated, fired up and active to help right what every ounce of my fiber tells me is wrong.
There is no right or wrong way to deal with all of this turmoil and chaos. Whatever feels good for you is right.
Be your own warrior your own way.
Peace and Love,
